True North National Conference 2012
The History
True North Conference is the united national conference of two Canadian prayer ministries, The National House of Prayer, and Redleaf Prayer Ministries. For the last 4 years, Redleaf and NHOP have jointly held regional prayer schools all over Canada, with a heart to equip, impart and strengthen prayer in the nation. Out of this unity, the True North Conference was born.
Our inagural True North was held in 2010 in Winnipeg. 600 attended from every part of Canada, with another 300 joining us for the National Burn that we held in the midst of the conference. It was during this time that James Goll, the well known prophetic voice from Nashville, gave Canada the strategy of prayer for 120 days to prepare for the next federal election. This word mobilised prayer for government like never before, leading to a dramatic change in parliament.
At this year’s conference, positioned right at the beginning of 2012, we again welcome the prophetic voice to speak to the nation, through the Canadian Prophetic Council. We also seek to strengthen Canada’s prayer movement with powerful speakers and mobilizers, Lou Engle, Stacey Campbell, Sara Maynard and Rob Parker. But most of all it’s our heart to come as a representation of Christians from every part of Canada, and to encounter Jesus in his glory, and have Him encounter you.
