These days really are about His presence, aren’t they?! Can you imagine a place where you could go and gather with other believers from the region any time of the night or day to seek the Lord.  You’ve seen it, haven’t you?!  Your heart has longed for Him, hasn’t it?!  Just like David of old, you desire one thing.

- THE MESSAGE

At the Durham House of Prayer (DHOP), we desire to be a place that fuels that desire.  We want to establish a place of continual prayer and worship (eventually 24/7). For now, we are a developing prayer furnace, filled with ordinary everyday people who have a hunger and a passion for God’s presence and a desire to join with others in praying for our region.

We are learning that as we encounter the Lord, especially in prayer and worship, He transforms us from the inside out.  And this transformation doesn’t just affect us individually but it affects the atmosphere of our homes, our churches, our cities, our region and ultimately our nation and the nations.  So let’s continue to cry out  together for our nation and region to be established as a resting place for the presence of the Lord. 

  I will not permit my eyes to sleep or my eyelids to slumber until I have found a place for the Lord, a habitation for the Mighty one of Jacob  -   AMPLIFIED
